% Arabica Guangzhou Baiyun Airport

Designer's Note

“Guangzhou is one of the prime districts of the economy in China, mainly due to its manufacturing industry, and the new Arabica store is opening in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

Given the compact size of the space, mirrors were installed on two walls, similar to the design of Shenzhen International Airport. This design choice enhances the visual appeal by making the 1/3-circle kitchen counter appear as a full circular counter while creating a sense of spaciousness in the store. Additionally, reflecting Guangzhou’s renowned metalworking tradition, the walls are clad in white metal panels, evoking the sleek aesthetics of aircraft. Standing counters were thoughtfully integrated around the building’s circular pillars, providing a convenient option for grab-and-go customers. This design creates an open and welcoming atmosphere for passengers preparing to board. We hope many customers will take a break with a cup of Arabica coffee before departing for their travels and businesses.”
