Designer's Note
“Located in Kuwait Boubyan Bank Tower, this new % Arabica café is conceived as an extension of the financial workplace. It responds to the daily rhythm of the bank’s professionals, offering a place to meet and pause throughout the workday.
The project is imagined as a playful composition of independent elements that shift, overlap, and stack to create a cohesive whole. Each piece is defined by its own materiality and color, its individual character contributes to an unified identity. Backlit, metallic or vibrant color surfaces are carefully composed. This architectural language extends to every scale of the project. Lighting and merchandise are extensions of the same composition, adopting the geometry of the modules and contributing to the spatial narrative.
The design is also conceived as a modular system for easy assembly, disassembly, and transportation. Each component can be relocated, allowing the % Arabica shop to adapt to different locations. ABK %Arabica is a response to the fast rhythm of working life creating a space to meet over coffee and design.”
