Designer's Note
“A new % Arabica store is set to open in One Bangkok, Thailand’s largest development project. This compact yet multi-level space is designed around the concept of a “core.” In the heart of the store, the “core” seamlessly integrates the kitchen counter, roasting room, warehouse, and staircase, symbolically penetrating the slab over the two floor levels.
Visible through the glazed façade, the core has a distinctive two-sided design: the front, finished in ARABICA white, and the back, wrapped in oak wood, creating a striking contrast. A hidden mezzanine is tucked within the staircase featuring a common table for the customers.
Wood elements reflecting the Chemex form are scattered throughout the store as pendant lights, planters, and lounge tables. Overall, store invites you to find your perfect hideaway, with a variety of seating arrangements in each area.”
